Profielnorm USA officially opens new manufacturing facility in Michigan


On Tuesday 21 April, Profielnorm proudly celebrated the official opening of its new Profielnorm USA manufacturing facility in Plainwell, Michigan. This milestone marks an important next step in the international growth of PRN Group and reinforces our long-term commitment to serving customers locally across the United States.   
 
Following the announcement and start of construction last year, the new facility is now operational, with production activities underway. While the building continues to be further equipped and expanded internally, strong foundations have been laid to support sustainable growth in the months and years ahead.

A milestone for Profielnorm USA and PRN Group


The official opening brought together colleagues, partners, local representatives, and international guests to celebrate this special occasion. Across our locations in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Poland, colleagues joined the event through a livestream, underscoring the strong international connection within PRN Group.
 
The opening ceremony featured speeches from several distinguished guests and representatives:
  • Matthijs Schot | CEO PRN Group
  • Henry Dingemans | Managing Director Profielnorm USA
  • Justin Lakamper | Plainwell City Manager
  • Matthew Cramer | District Manager for State Representative Matt Hall
  • Miranda Beltran | Otsego-Plainwell Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Eric Strating | Consul General of the Netherlands in Chicago
Their contributions reflected the close collaboration between local communities and international partners, as well as the shared ambition behind this investment.

To conclude the official ceremony, Jos Schot, Owner PRN Group, and Eric Strating ceremonially cut the yellow ribbon at the entrance of the new facility, officially marking the opening of Profielnorm USA in Michigan.

A day of celebration


The opening day continued with celebratory events. Following the official ceremony, guests enjoyed an extensive lunch before travelling to the renowned Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners. Home to more than 300 vintage automobiles and motorcycles, the museum provided a unique indoor and outdoor setting. Guests were also offered the opportunity to experience rides in classic cars, accompanied by experienced drivers. The day concluded with a shared dinner in the evening.

 

Building local presence in the USA


The opening of the Michigan facility represents more than just a new building. It strengthens our local presence and enables us to support customers across the USA with shorter lead times, local production capabilities, and closer collaboration.
 
As demand for mezzanine floors and warehouse solutions continues to grow across the United States, having a local manufacturing base allows us to respond more efficiently while remaining closely involved in our customers’ projects.
 
Although work inside the facility is still progressing and the production hall continues to develop, the team is already fully focused on expanding operations and preparing for future growth. With the first production machines now fully operational, the local team is also actively undergoing training to ensure the machinery is operated efficiently and according to the trusted quality standards of PRN Group.
 
From our new facility in Michigan, Profielnorm USA designs, manufactures, and installs mezzanine floors for customers throughout the United States. With local production fully underway, our mezzanine floors are proudly Made in the USA, combining local expertise with the trusted quality standers of PRN group. Our team is ready to support your business with custom-made, locally produced mezzanine solutions.

Looking ahead


The official opening of Profielnorm USA is an important milestone in the ongoing international development of PRN Group. We are proud of everyone involved in making this project a success and look forward to building the future together from our new home in Michigan.
